Material List
▪ Mixed media journal, any brand. 8x10 approx. My personal fave is Strathmore Visual Journal, mixed media paper, however I’ve used all kinds and really it’s what you do with the pages that matters. Most anything works. I do prefer journals with mixed media weight pages, they can withstand more working over.
Strathmore Visual Journal is my favourite. I’ve also used Canson, Rainforest and others. They are all pretty similar

None of these supplies need to be “official” art supplies. Use what you have or what you can easily and inexpensively access. If you have band name art supplies that is A OK too! Use any and all, as you wish.
The key here is not to invest too much $$ into the supplies because I believe this creates a barrier to freely using what you have, and being creative with what you have. Your journal then becomes something that has to “be good” and this is a definite hindrance to freely expressing.
